The world of showbiz has finally come of age, as the actresses are breaking away from being the shadow of their male counterparts and demanding huge amounts of money for commercials.

Is Mallika Sherawat care less?
Mallika Sherawat has managed to be in the news for her kisses and quotable quotes.
And just when she learnt that she suffered from foot-in-mouth disease, the sultry damsel decided to become media evasive. But then, her sexy, revealing dress irked Chennai locals and all that.
Now, it’s a different thing that the Chennai police have decided to excuse Mallika Sherawat for her bold attire at the audio launch of Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam , but there are many others who love talking about Sherni Sherawat.
They’ll keep talking about her miniscule dresses, her even more miniscule roles, and the amount of time Jackie Chan spent with her also becomes an issue of grave concern. But Mallika has just one response: She couldn’t care less! Shouldn’t she become a little more ‘careful’ about this ‘carelessness’?

Complaint againt Mallika Sherawat
Hollywood actor Jackie Chan with Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat at a function in Chennai. A complaint has been lodged against the actress for not covering up properly during the function.
S R Kaniraj, the Chennai secretary of the Hindu Makkal Kachi, has filed a compliant against the actress for wearing a revealing dress at the function.
According to the complainant, the actress, by wearing a mini skirt and exposing her back, had caused 'mental agony to the people of Tamil Nadu.'
He also complained that by sitting cross legged on the dais where the Chief Minister was also seated, she 'had not only behaved disrespectfully but had also conducted herself indecently.'
Shriya had earlier borne the brunt of such moral policing when she appeared in a short dress at a Sivaji function. Shriya Saran later tendered an apology for her dress.
The dias saw some of the biggest stars on it, including Jackie Chan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Hema Malini, Jayapradha, Asin, Mallika Sherawat, Vijay, K S Ravi Kumar and the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
